JSM
So I was trying to pull 280z axles while in the JY. Got the drums off okay, one axle came out great and the other 14mm axle nuts woud not budge. Any suggestions on getting these off while in the junk yard? I'm kinda limited on tools while there, but do they even make a shallow closed ended box wrech to get around those nuts on the stub axles? Should I bring my map torch and try to heat them? All 4 were super stuck and I started rounding heads. Normally I use my open and box wrench and jolt them with the hammer and they pop right away. RebekahsZ
Depending on the cost, just drop the whole rear suspension assembly. That requires removal of the cross member, driveshaft bolts, mustache bar and struts. Take the whole subassembly home and beat on it in your garage. NewZed
Heat would destroy any thread-locker that was present, plus give some expansion of the nut. I'm always surprised by the effect.

C Pierre
I just went through this with my 75 280Z in my garage. Some came away with the hammer and wrench, but on a couple I eventually tried almost all of the penetrants, heat and/or freezing. The one that seemed to work was acetone and ATF. homeade brew I'm using it on the rest of the suspension and it seems to work really well. Be careful using it with heat, though, as it's flammable. CP super mechanic I'm not; I still had to cut off one nut
RebekahsZ
OK-I vote for heat and vice grips. I have used thread locker on these bolts before, maybe the previous owner did the same thing.
