HellOnWheels
I am wanting to know if there is any way these rims would fit on an 87 300zx N/A? They are 15" rims, but 10" wide. I think they have the right bolt pattern, but don't know if they are too wide or if I'd be able to get a street tire in the right sizing for these cars. Link to them is below. http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-auto-parts-tires-tires-rims-15-x-10-custom-rims-4-1-2-bolt-pattern-Ford-Mopar-W0QQAdIdZ382621704 I know a lot of people would wonder why I would want to use these but it's just the look I like. I was hoping to give my car a more American / Muscle car type look. I'm just not a fan of 18" rims or the bling bling look. Hence why I am on hybrid Z in the first place. Thanks. BluDestiny
http://www.az-zbum.com/information.wheels.and.tires.shtml Those probably won't fit because first off all they have massive positive offset, not negative, unless he's measuring the lip and in that case they have wayyyyy too much negative offset. If you do get them you're going to have to stretch street tires on them or run racing slicks.
HellOnWheels
http://www.az-zbum.com/information.wheels.and.tires.shtml Ok, so could someone tell me what are the widest 15" rims I can use on a 87 z N/A (on the back obviously)? And what are the widest tires I can run on a 15" rim that will fit these cars? I can't quite make sense of the azzbum page that explains it. (goldfish)
Making note of where the valve stem hole is on those rims, they have massive positive offset.
stprasinz
I think a 10" rim will fit, but needs like a 6" backspacing... If it fits, a 6.5" offset may be better to allow a more aggressive (wider section) if it doesn't start to rub in the rear first. These ideas are going by I have 8" rims with a 4" backspacing... Goodluck!
stprasinz
As for the tires, there has been 315's almost tucked under. I'd just go 275, or maybe 295 and roll the fenders to allow clearance. Should be enough rubber to snap an axel if you so wanted to.
HellOnWheels
The problem I've found with 275 or 295 is they only seem to come in 50 or 60 series. Which makes them too tall for these cars. is there such a thing as like say a 275/40/15 tire?
i r teh noobz
http://www.rims4less.com/productslisting.php?one=275&two=40&three=15&cat=
HowlerMonkey
I remember seeing 285/40-16s as early as 1986.
MADMIKE
I run a knockoff set of 'stang Bullet wheels 18x9 up front 18x10 in the rear with a stupid amount of offset and 25mm spacers all the way around. I run Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's in 295/35s or so off a Porsche
