JacobsZ
Hey everyone, i just bought an l28et with no wiring harness or ecu, i want to use the stock dizzy for ignition and ms for fuel but every tutorial i see is for msns and not just ms. Can someone link me to a megasquirt fuel only installation guide?
s30red240z
Pick up for MS2.2 for MS 3.0 http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms1extra/ Into megatune or tunerstudio you must select the fuel only setting, and set your engine constants, ve table, crank, afterstart, warmup, accel, etc, is a lot of homework http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/configure.htm I got a file from L28T 29y4 firmware but is only a start from scratch Edited September 2, 2012 by s30red240z
JacobsZ
Oh wow, Why does it seem more simple to just do MSnS
loy
The diagram posted shows the parts inside the ecu and outside. Should be the same just compacted into an image.
calpoly-z
If the engine came with the stock turbo dizzy then you would need the ecm to run your ignition. If that's the case then you might as well just use MS to control spark. If you're planning in running an N/A dizzy then you could get away without MS controlling spark but then you timing will not be optimized for boost and you will end up having to run very compromised timing to prevent detonation. Why do you not want to run MSnS?
s30red240z
Yes is true, if you don't have another electronic system to control timing map, this won't work fine! Edited September 3, 2012 by s30red240z
