She's finally getting painted

Recommended Posts

So . . . where to start? I've had the car now for about 5 years. Found it down the street sitting on a curb waiting for someone to love it. :-) I put a note on the windshield with my contact information and literally "She will have a good home and a long life". Heard back from the owner 1 month later . . . $3000 and she was mine. Bone stock, automatic, completely restored (his dad owned the car and got sick. So it sat in the garage for about 15 years. He then restored it for his son, but his son didn't like how small it was.)

So, one drive in her and I was hooked! Had her for about 1 year before I decided to add a little more HP to the fix. Talked with Vildini Motorsports and setup a SR20DET blacktop swap. Wish I could have done it myself like others on here, but I just didn't have the space and the knowledge for it. Vildini does EXCELLENT work, top notch if you're looking for it. He installed my SR20DET with all piping and exhaust work. It was all just basic bolt onn, nothing special.

I loved the car. It was fast, nimble and fun to drive. Not to mention how rare it was! I love this car and will be keeping it for as long as possible. (I'm hoping to give it my own son in due time)

Well, enough about my story, on with the pictures right!!! Hope you enjoy them. . . .

Wow, Did that take a long time or what!! HAHA

I've been keeping a log at CarDomain and if you're interested, please check it out. I am picking her up this Friday after 3 months of work. I won't divulge pricing, but I would like to think what you guys think the work would have cost.  The shop, to me, looks like they do great work.

I'm looking forward to seeing the completed car, and love that color. As a matter of fact, I'm stuck on deciding colors between the space grey, 07' subaru urban metallic, or 12' ford edge silver. Definately show some more pics when it's finished.
