I have come to the conclusion that when this build is finished, your thread and documentation needs to be compiled into a book and published.

Your work is amazing, and could explain to even a woman, the proper way to assemble a 240z.

Hope to see this in person one day!!

Thanks, I have so many more new and refurbished parts in boxes ready to put on the car.

If I could ever stop making rubber parts, I might get some work done on the car. But at this point is all about the fine detail.

Made the correct upper quarter window rubber for build date of 7-71..

Both type show here, early and later style.

Made the correct bumper to fender shims for the front and rear.

Made the correct headlight bucket wire rubber insulator, that old cracked up thing of a insulator just would not work for me.

Made the rubber coating on the wire harness bundle wraps that are predominately found in the engine bay. These are very hard to make since the sidewall is very thin. There is a total of 19 skinny and 2 wider type. I don't think I can make the ones for the main wiring harness.

Just making parts that are no longer or ever available from Nissan.

Steve, you are z urethane/rubber master!

Tired of gluing your horn pad back on, I know I was.... reproduction of the original plastic insert that always cracks.

A high performance urethane with very high compressive strength and tensile strength. Shore D Hardness;

85.

Very easy to cut out the old cracked or broken insert and epoxy glue the new reproduction of the original back in.

All in the tiny details at this point in my build.

I have replaced all 40+ rubber tabs that hold the wires to the body.

I had to reweld a few tabs that broke off while moving the tabs. Welding after Paint so I had to be very careful while doing this.

I could not stand looking at the yellow/worn out defrost wire boot, so I molded my own in clear and also a black version. I went with the clear version, just like the original.

The one on the bottom is the original and above are my reproductions.
