I have seen them used as speedometers, g-meters and cameras. Please list your favorite motorsport apps for cell phones. For example, I have no speedometer-can I just use my cell phone? tooquick260 Posted May 27, 2013 Share Posted May 27, 2013 I only have an Iphone. So I bought the Optrix XD You can download a program called Vidometer on your Iphone. It gives you all that info on the screen. Pretty cool. I mounted it on the back windshield facing forward. Here is the app in action! I'm thinking about using a GPS speedo for a high speed track event I have coming up cause my speedo doesn't work and i don't have time to fix it. socorob Posted August 5, 2013 Share Posted August 5, 2013 I see a few people here using harrys lap timer. It lets you use a better gps via bluetooth with faster resolution so its more accurate. Apparently a lot of cellphones gps' are only accurate to 10 feet and can show you off the course when you're actually on. The better ones are accurate to 3 feet or less. clarkspeed Posted August 6, 2013 Share Posted August 6, 2013 Trackmaster is the best one I have seen. I haven't tried it with the Bluetooth GPS but people claim good results. It's not accurate enough with built in phone GPS (neither is Harry's). I has a ton of functionality, even gives you lap times through an earpiece. Kind of like a Traqmate lite.
