ISPKI
Hell Folks! I have a 77 280z that had a run in with a leaking battery a few years back. The leak appears to have dripped down onto the tray and fender and the firewall. This effectively had the same effect as in those alien movies with the acid blood and what not, now there is a hole almost large enough for the battery to fit through where the battery tray used to be. Anyway, I was wondering how simple it would be to relocate the battery to behind the seats. Would anyone be able to post some photos of their modification? 9rider
It is simple to relocate battery, it is pretty much same as run power cable to supply the amp for the audio system. But the simplest way is get a metal plate and weld back where the battery should be . Then get a detergent ( the square Costco one ) cut it and make a good tray, drill and mod a drain hole ( supply you can get from swamp cooler accessories ) . Good luck. jhm
Hot post in the engine compartment; cheap battery box from Summit with vent hose through fender well. Have since added a cut-off switch to the ground cable.
