cockerstar Posted June 29, 2013 Share Posted June 29, 2013 I've always liked using beverage clamps (used on CO2 systems for fountain soda), as they look a little cleaner. I'm sure there's another name for them, but that's how I discovered them. They have a beveled edge so they don't cut into the hose, and the serrations don't go all the way through the band. Did you tee into the heater supply line or the return line? ^^^ That area is tight and the room is occupied by the heater two hoses plus cutting the cover . LanceVance Posted June 29, 2013 Share Posted June 29, 2013 Look up Gates 'PowerGrip' clamps; I haven't used them personally, but I plan on using them once I get to that point in my build. T-Bone028 Posted June 30, 2013 Share Posted June 30, 2013 There's a cheap option from Spectre called "Magna-Clamps" that you can find from Summit/Jegs/etc. Basically worm-gear type clamp with a flashy cover to make it look like an AN fitting. The main question becomes whether you think you'll need to take that joint apart for any foreseeable service, or can you just treat the whole thing as one assembly during service.
