Haniel20
Looking for any pics of a turbo s30 with a down pipe exit through the fender or through the hood.
Avernier
On l28 its basically not possible. Mine is fender exit on my 1.5jz only because a 4" down pipe wont fit under the car. Hood exit will soot up the windshield. Both look stupid. Just dont do it.
RebekahsZ
Then be the first. Guys do it all the time at the drag strip, I don't see why you couldn't do it if you could figure out all the routing. And soot is only a problem if you run rich or burn oil. And if you do, you can clean it off. A turbo absorbs lots of noise. I ran 36" straight pipes under the front fender with a V8 and I have a buddy who ran 8" stacks directly off his headers out the top of the hood. It really wasn't that noisy. Certainly not as noisy as having headers dumping under the car, trapping the sound between the floor of the car and the street below. But don't expect your neighbors or the cops to like it. Go for it.
Avernier
Noise isnt an issue, i can attest to that. However, theres really no reason to do it unless you cant fit the tubing under the car, and yes, a turbo motor WILL soot up the windshield regardless of tune. Haniel20
I was thinking it would look nice if done right, but I guys just to get it to run hows it supposdd to it would have to cut through to much sheet metal to do it.
