JMortensen
Just looking for input on tires for my GMC 1500 which will, with any luck, be towing my Z all over western WA pretty soon here.
Jay Gadsby
I have had good luck with the cooper on/offroad setup. I want to say ATP maybe? Anyhow, fairly quiet on the highway, good grip wet, dry and offroad. Wear is pretty good. At 20k now with them and only my drive tire needs replacing soon. That is because is because I suck at rotating schedules.
Jay Gadsby
and typing too. Sorry about the "is because" up there lol. Oh, and those are load range E. I am sure their d rating stuff is just as good.
motomanmike
I've always run cooper tires on my truck. Never will buy anything else for it.
310z
BFG A/T KO There are two tread compounds made. Some have the mountain snow flake symbol and they are a softer compound. If you need a tire for the snow they are great but wear ot about 30,000. The tires without the symbol are a harder compound and last forever but do not work very well on snow and ice. If you want a good combo tire that works well everywhere but mainly on the Hi way look at the Michelin LTX A/T. Both are expensive but worth it. Discount Tire/American Tire or Costco have the best pricing. Edited March 4, 2014 by 310z
