endofzworld
so i found an older (unused) glowshift a/f gauge for 2 bucks at the flea market the other day so i couldnt say no to that! only it didnt come with an 02 sensor. its an older one with 3 wires, am i good with a simple universal o2 sensor like this http://www.ecstuning.com/ES1936798/ or do i need something more? also is it even worth my time putting this in? not sure how accurate the older 3 wire ones are, sticker on the back says 2007 so im guessing thats when it was made
SleeperZ
It should work with that universal sensor. Unless it's wideband, the extra wires are just for internal heating to meet emission requirements before the engine warms up. Do keep in mind this sensor and gauge are only accurate around 14.7:1 air/fuel ratios, and not accurate at richer or leaner ratios.
thedarkie
Useless garbage, there's a reason it was 2 bucks. Unless it's a gauge with a wideband sensor and controller hooked up, all you'll get from it is pretty green and red lights. If you want an affordable and ACCURATE measure of your air/fuel ratios this is probably about the cheapest path you'll find: http://www.14point7.com/products/sigma-lambda-controller-diy-2 Edited April 24, 2015 by thedarkie
