trackzpeed
I found this from Dakota Digital Not sure it will work with the Z drive cable. JCI has not returned my email re his unit, and I don't know if he will sell one without the purchase of his mount kit???? I want to keep the stock gauges for now, what is everyone using to convert the T56 signal to the mechanical Z drive? Thanks, Jim
socorob
Can you call cable x directly?
Phantom
Google CableX. It is made by Abbott Labs. Their website will have all the information you need. That's the unit JCI installed on my car and it's still working 12 years later.
trackzpeed
I did find cableX.... Is there a specific cable that works with the 240Z...? Both Dakota and abbot only list GM cables which led to my confusion and post. Thanks guys for the info though. I will call tomorrow and get is sourced out. crapforum
The datsun cable did look quite different than my camaros which had a gear on the end of it so I'm not sure if they match. I know that you can get a mechanical output on the T56 installed for about the same price as a cable x
trackzpeed
I heard from John at JCI... Good to go with his stuff if I choose to. The Dakota looked promising as it is GPS versus dip switch. No worries, I'm not there yet so time is my friend for now. Thanks
