JelmerPatrol
Where do I hook up the vacuum line for the dizzy? I have 2 vacuum ports on the throttle body and one on top of the manifold where I already have the FPR hooked up.
luseboy
Not to be a dick but this is a rather vague post. The L-series Dizzy needs ported vacuum, so use whatever ported vacuum source you have available. Manifold vacuum doesn't really work properly from what I've read. NewZed
The L28ET uses a CAS and ECU timing control. 84 Nissan Patrol L28E--->L28ET in progress http://www.patrol4x4...holland-314225/
JelmerPatrol
I'm sorry, I'm using the euro 280zx n/a wiring and US n/a intake manifold and tb. Before this I used my n/a 280zx dizzy on my carburated L28 and had it hooked up at the manifold. This worked good back than.
NewZed
For some reason Nissan completely overlooked showing or describing the ports on the bottom of the throttle bodies. Ported vacuum is what the factory used. I think that at least two of the bottom ports are ported (only get vacuum when the throttle is off-idle). One is for the BCDD and the other for the distributor advance. You can use your finger to find one, just feel for suction with the engine running, throttle open and closed.
