CHTS ground wiring

Best practice is to always ground your sensors nearest or directly to the microcontroller. You are working with small voltages that are easily upset by big stuff like the ignition system.

 

That being said if the ecu is on the same ground it will probably be fine. If you feel like being overkill you could scope out the noise on the sensor right now and then again with the new wiring setup.
