endofzworld
Don't know if this has been posted here before but I've been having sputtering problems under acceleration. I have triple webers, pertronix ignition(with the vacuum advance into the manifild), and a holley red fuel pump. this page describes all my problems, what do you guys think? http://www.racetep.com/manufacturer/weber/electric-fuel-pumps.html
NewZed
Their comments about regulators are vague and not worth much. A proper regulator setup will maintain pressure. Do you have any regulator at all? The symptoms they describe are for fuel starvation, not over-pressure. If you don't have a regulator then you could have 7 psi at the carb, but only if there's a restriction. You could just measure pressure.
beermanpete
We have a Holley Red pump on our car with SU carbs. It works great. We use an in-line regulator that only has two hoses (in and out). A three hose bypass type regulator would be better but the cost is higher.
endofzworld
Yeah I have a cheap regulator from the auto part store and anot in line fuel pressure Guage. I know around 4 psi is what they like so that's what I set it too and still runs like poop
BobsZTwins
I ran a Holley with a regulator for a long time but got sick and tired of the noise! I switched to the Airtex E8016S and couldn't be happier. Have to listen close to even know that it's running. $28. I've got 3xDCOE40 Webers, it has no problem keeping them full at 3psi.
