Speedhut just put this out.

It allows you to retain the stock cable driven speedometer for use with new electronic speed sensors.

 

Just wanted to put it out there for all of the swawp folks.

Nice find, I'm assuming this would keep the speedo needle from dancing around when at high speed?

If you needle is dancing, the cable needs to be greased or replaced.

 

But WOW! pricey unit just to drive an old speedo. I think id rather put in a new gauge. Custom design and additional functions.

 

For the really tech savvy guys you could just convert the old speedo to a stepper and GPS for a fraction of the cost. 

 

 

As a side note. Does the Speed hut GM/Chrysler Sender fit in the Datsun transmission?

I can probably find out.  Also keep in mind it does convert it to GPS as well.  

 

Do you guys know the thread pitch on the datsun stuff?  I can email speedhut and find out.
