Sean 83ZXT
Anyone know where to get Magnacore wires cheap? I was at Summit's retail place in Reno and they don't even carry them. I bought some NGK R V-Power plugs and I want some good wires to run to the plugs.
pparaska
I like the Magnacores I have on my Eclipse. With it's waste-spark system, low resistance is key. But for a regular ignition, they might be overkill. MSD 8.5mm wires are fairly low resistance and a decent design. I too would love to find a cheap Magnacore source, darn things are expensive! Guest Tim78zt
Hey, Pete, where can we get MSD's for a reasonable price? Tim78zt
pparaska
I'd forgotten how much those were (MSD wires)! A universal V8 set is $69 at Summit. Ouch.
BLKMGK
Since I end up custom making all of my wires I'm considering just buying the stuff in bulk spools Seriously, it seems like it might be a good cost saving idea over time...
Cody 82 ZXT
Try C.A.P. Cyberspace Automotive Parts They have them for the L28 for 68.00. It's the best price I've found on them.
johnc
Magnecore. Worth every penny 'cuz you never have to buy another set or worry about them.
pparaska
Ouch again. Magnecor lists a universal set of 8.5mm wires for Chevy V8 with HEI as PN 85100 - $139! I guess if you never need to replace them, that's it's a wash after buying the second set of MSD's
Guest Anonymous
Sean, sorry I bailed out of chat last night, didn't mean to be rude, got on the phone with Zdreamer and we chatted it up for quite a while and well talking on the phone while typing stretches the ability of my one cell to function very well.
