mutantZ
I've been thinking of using them for my engine build. Anyone have any experience with them? I know Robellos has a great rep, but I wanted a place thats a little more local to me (socal). I've heard some good things about JMS but wanted to see if any members had any direct experience in regards to an L build. http://jmsracingengines.com/
NewZed
Have you talked to them? Sometimes smart experienced people will not work on things that they're not familiar with. For everybody's benefit. And sometimes shops that specialize get so focused on their thing that they can't see the similarities with other areas. They might not even consider working on a Japanese engine. They look like a fairly typical American metal speed shop.
rjp280
Check out Mitch with Engineered Performance... http://epracing.net I ran down to the Dallas area yesterday to speak to Mitchell (owner). He seems pretty well connected to the Z community, especially on twinturbo.net and has experience with L24/L28, RBs, VG/VQs, etc. - Had mostly Datsun/Nissan engines sitting around in his shop. Website has some great info.
mutantZ
I've talked to that shop on the phone and they have said they worked on L's in the past. I was just wondering if anyone has had any first hand experience. I wanted a local place in the event i find some "mystery machining" later on the engine. I've seen EPR's site before, I believe their owner was the one that bought Nissan's old Electramotive VG30 engine. If I were building a VG they definitely would be the ones I would call.
