turbogrill 0 Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) Hi, On my 280zx I have 15x10 4.5 BS with 245 Maxxis VR-1 tires. I have about a pen clearance between strut and wheel on the fronts. No rubbing so far, sure it sticks out like crazy. These are the wheels I got, https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Bassett-50ST4B-15X10-D-Hole-Lite-4-on-4-5-4-Inch-BS-Black-Beaded-Wheel,72130.html Edited March 22, 2018 by turbogrill
s130Jim 0 Posted March 22, 2018 Looks cool! I'm currently looking to do a very similar rim setup (deep dish steel rims with wide tires) on my 280zx. I'm also thinking about 10 inch rims on the rear but I don't have the balls to go outside the fender lol. Do you think a ten inch rim with 5.5 inch backspacing would fit under the fender/not rub inside? Just thinking for the rears, I'll go smaller on the front as I'd like to be able to still turn the wheel lol! Thanks! -Jim

Thanks! -Jim There is about four fingers between the strut and the wheel in the rear, about one finger in the front. I don't get any rubbing but my car is lowered and the fenders are all banged up from "incidents" on the race track. Maybe they will rub in on a stock car, don't know.
