Scottie-GNZ
Thanks to 240Z Turbo. Tires are next, then a new assault begins.
240Z Turbo
Scottie, it looks good. 1 Question, is that thing mounted crooked or is that an illusion? Anyway, hurry up and run that thing so I can hear what kind of pressure drop you are now experiencing. By the way, you work pretty damn fast in getting that thing mounted. Your setup is very simple and because your piping is all 1 piece I cannot see that you would have had a leak of some sort from your last setup. It looks good and I honestly hope you see results using it. If anything take it out on the street and record the pressure drop.
SleeperZ
That is a sweet looking IC -- you will have much less pressure drop on that one I can tell. I thought you were considering a liquid/air intercooler...or was that 240Z turbo?
Scottie-GNZ
SleeperZ, both James and I were planning to do A-W I/Cs but the cores ended up being A-A cores that each did not flow enough for a single A-W, but combined made a great A-A. James decided to make a single A-A for himself and I took his current I/C that you see installed. James, it looks crooked in the pic but it is straight. Had to trim down the elbow because it made the finsihed unit too wide and the pipe going down to it would have hit the hood bracket. Will probably do the initial testing this weekend. Andrew Bayley
Dang it Scottie, You're not even gonna give me a chance to get my own 1/4 mile time spot back.. are you?!?!? Well, good luck anyway. Nice looking install. Keep us posted. -Andy
clint78z
I think when I get around to tuning my car a set of pressure taps will be installed, then I can hook up a manometer when the car is on the dyno. That way I can see what the max pressure drop is on the NPR intercooler.
