After Eibach Lowering Spring now the exhaust Drags in the Rear

Recommended Posts

I have a 73 240z installed Eibach lowering springs front and rear.  Now the exhaust is so low, it less than an inch (+/-) from the ground. I was thinking about putting back the original rear springs in the rear. I have duel exhaust. Is there anyway I can increase the height in the rear using the lowering springs?  Anyone else had this problem and what was your solution?

Thanks in advance

Yes.  If you have the stock 240 strut isolators in the rear, you can swap them out for the taller 280-style rear isolators (which were approx 1-1.5” taller than the shorter 240-style rear isolators, IIRC).

Looking at your pictures, I’m wondering if your exhaust can be tucked up higher yogi e you more ground clearance.  What’s the ride height of your rocker sections?
