Turbochargers by Hugh Mcginnes (probably botched the spelling of his name) and Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. If you read one or the other (both if you can although Corky's book is more recent but the stuff still applies from Hugh's book) you'll have a very good understanding of turbocharging and the do's and don'ts of it.
