Guest JESTER3798
Hi guys, I have a 78 datsun 280 z. when i got the car it was sitting in a garage since 1984. it has absolutely no rust that i have seen. the day it got here i pulled the engine and trans. i began by dissasembling the entire front end. the engine compartment is now sprayed with por 15 semi gloss black. I also have purchased for the transplant a 1999 LS1 and T-56 drop out for the car. i have 1 inch drop tokico springs, full poyurethane bushing kit, aluminum radiator, and various othe parts for the car. The reason i am telling you akll this is because the whole project is for sale. it is not complete but when someone finishes it it will be a rocket. I am in north western NJ. if anyone is interested drop me a line. i will be putting it up on ebay soon but i thought i would give you guys first rights. ryan 9083620072 jester3798@aol.com

Guest chevsun
Hi Jester: I can't speak for everyone but I think most of us that have built our own Hybrid have a love hate relationship with the car. It was 4 years from the start before I took the first ride in my car and even though a lot of adjusting and tuning needed to be done the feeling was indescribable. All that hard work and frustration finally came together. Unless it is your daily driver work on it until you get frustrated then take a break. I found that after a short break I would walk past the car and start looking at some unfinished portion and before I knew it I was pulled right back into it. Now it seemes I rebuild the car every winter. It is sitting on stands right now with every bit of the drivetrain removed but it will be ready for summer and when I rip through the gears the first time I will get the same feeling I got 4 years ago and the STEPPENWOLF song will come into my head "Getchormotorrunnin da da da da da da" Build the car!
