Xander
hmmm, strange place to post my first message but I just had to get in on this. I am from Amsterdam in the Netherlands And I would like to clarify things a bit. In Amsterdam it is NOT legal to smoke pot. (This is mainly to keep the frenche happy.) It is just that is the police do not enforce home use and small scale selling of canabis. Every week you can read in the papers about a raid on an illegal grower. And you would be amazed at how many plants can be grown on a square foot . That said, most of my friends smoke canabis now and then. And none of them are problematic. The problems many people from abroad hear about are the tourists from places like italy and france and ofcourse the US that come to amsterdam. The come from the airport, get a lot off drugs and lock themselfs in some hotelroom. This is points to another big problem. EDUCATION Here in Amsterdam everyone knows the pro's and con's of drugs. Not just canabis but all drugs: Alcohol, tabaco, XTC, canabis, heroine, cocaine.... We get tought at school at a young age. And yes, there are people who dont know when quit and smoke allday. But still these people are better off than drinking alcohol all day. Alcohol is a lot more destructive than canabis. In the netherlands canabis can be prescribed buy a doctor. People suffering from chronic pain or epelepsy benefit greatly from smoking canabis. I hope all of the above is a bit readable. I do read a lot of english but writing is a lot harder. anyway I probably write better engish than you do dutch so there. and in case you where wondering I also own a '77 260Z. yes '77. Guest bobnagga
smoke a bong. it filters out the cancer causing stuff. don't use metal. it eats yer brain like beer. i've never seen two guys get high then start brawling. i, myself hate to drive while high, but my friends drive BETTER. if alcohol and tobacco were also illegal, pot would be the first to be legalized. I've seen people smoke two packs of cigarrettes a day. most people don't smoke more than two or three bowls a day. So don't tell me that it's worse on the lungs. You show me a guy who's sitting on his ass all day, only getting up now and then to eat and sh*t, and I'll show you a guy who isn't causing any problems. --George Carlin so what if people lose all self motivation? Their loss! I know a guy who was a train driver for thirty years. he smokes pot all day every day. He had to learn thousand of pages of information in six week to drive a train. so don't tell me that every smoker's a retard! I myself smoked more in my 12th grade year than any time before that, and made better grades! Back to the carcinogens, if you filter it through water, the smoke loses all it's cancer causing properties. tar is water soluble, THC is oil soluble so you get the high without all the other shi*t. but so what? we're all arguing about it like it's going to make a difference, but it won't. Guest eric-z
something to think about... " Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes crimes out of things that are not crimes. A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." - Abraham Lincoln but I think in the end it goes like this... " The Shepherd drives the wolf from the sheep's throat, for which the sheep thanks the shephard as a liberator, while the wolf denounces him for the same act as a destroyer of liberty" - Abraham Lincoln except I believe that its more like the shepherd(legislation) is stopping the wolf(pot smokers) from chewing off his own leg and the wolf is not harming the sheep at all... if you know what I mean... what gives the sheperd the right to stop the wolf and is there much point to stopping him because the wolf will merely take off his own leg when the sheperd's back is turned... wow that was an interesting way of puting it, but I guess it will work... but I do agree with this guy... but so what? we're all arguing about it like it's going to make a difference, but it won't. David K
Does anyone think that this thread will cause some Hybrid Z members to lose respect for fellow Hybrid Z members?
Guest eric-z
Does anyone think that this thread will cause some Hybrid Z members to lose respect for fellow Hybrid Z members? I was wondering about that too. I wasn't going to post and probably shouldn't have just to be safe. maybe we should have this thread deleted.... its not really Z related is it. Moridin
I think it can only help the Z community. Just look at how civil everyone is about it. It may not be Z related, but it's still something interesting to be talked about here that makes for great conversation. Personally, I love talking about politics, laws, etc... with all you people, because it stays so civil.
