Guest ON3GO
hey guys. my friend is parting out his 1988 GLE RX7, and when i went under neath it i was impressed. well the the whole suspension is pretty beefy. I was wondering if anybody knew if the 2nd gen N/A rear end is pretty strong and also who hard would it be to install in a 240Z. im not even sure if it has LSD so thats another question. thanks mike
stony
it generally takes 500rwhp to the wheels to break an axle on the FC so if installed in a z would be quite strong. but i hope your engineering skills are good ;>
Mudge
Ask if it has LSD or just spin the wheels off the ground.

Guest ON3GO
so even the N/A FC's had LSD? i can get the whole rear end of the car for 180 bucks.. and i can get the whole car fo 400 bucks, so i might do that and see what else i can use on it. mike
383 240z
Some FC's have posi most 5 lug cars have it. the first series of cars (86-90) were plate style (Eaton) the second run (90-92) were cone style (Auburn) the gears are 4.10:1 in the 5 speeds and 3.90:1 in the automatics a few cars GTUs had 4.30:1 but they are pretty rare. Here are a few pix of what I did with my FC with a blown motor http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/rx7260z/lst?.dir=/V-8+RX-7&.view=t it has a 300 hp 350 CID chevy with a TH-700R4. I hope you like my other hybrid!! Keith
