Guest sb400z
They are TSW Trophies, 17x8 with 20 mm offset. 5x114.3. They will be connected to Ross' 13in Xtreme fronts with coilovers and illuminas all the way around, and 5 lug rear with 240sx conversion and CV adaptors to the 3.7 LSD that will turn them. Should make the car a little more fun Install's gonna be fun too. Gotta get it all done in a weekend so i can get my 20 miles to ASU monday morning. Ivan280zt
sb400z hey man you are gonna love those wheels they sure do make Z car look mean as hell . u said that u have 2O offset well i just hope that only two of them are 20 because for front you are gonna need 40 offset (20 will stick out of fender) i have almost indentical setup on suspension as u but my front wheels are 40 offset and they fit just right. well i just hope that i am wrong about it let me know how it goes. Guest sb400z
I just checked them all and they all say ET 20 under the 114.3 on the inside of the wheel. Guess if they stick out i'll have to get flares... Didn't want to, but I also don't want a goofy looking front end. I'll see what happens when it's all said and done and i'll post pics for you all to critisize
j260z
Ivan. correct me if i'm wrong but the reason you say that is because the 5 bolt front hubs stick out 20mm farther than the 4 bolt ones correct? I'm doing the 5 bolt conversion also and never thought about the offset being different. i'm guessing with your setup (which looks very cool ) it's tough to rotate your tires? Mudge
Handling and turn in is going to take some getting used to, with different track like that. If thats the case a footnote should be added to the product area I'd think?
Ivan280zt
j260z well i cant exactlly remembar if they did stick out that much but i am pretty sure that they did stick out more than stock four lug ones. when i swapted out my back ones to the front (my front ones are 40 and back ones are 20 offset) they ended up sticking out enough that i would need some bolt on fairlady flares to make it look right. now what i think that he is gonna run into is his back wheels are gonna be just fine but its gonna look odd because he is only going to need flares up front. i truly hope that i am wrong at this. Ivan280zt
as far as rotating tires there was no problem at all. i just took them to local performance shop because i knew that they had more experince with low profile/big wheels and also that they would be more carefull with it then your local tire shop (thats just my honest opinion). j260z
i took some pics and here they are this is the 4 lug rotor the measurement is 2 15/16" and here is the 5 lug rotor the measurement is 3 11/16" that makes the overall difference 3/4 of an inch or about 20mm for the front wheels only. i guess if you wanted the same offset rims all around you would have to get a 3/4" spacer and longer wheel studs made for the back wheels. Guest sb400z
It just keeps getting more and more interesting as it goes on Small flares won't bug me that much, but if i knew i would need them, I would have got wider wheels to fill them... Oh well though, it'll look good when its ALL done. Thats a lotta money later though.
tannji
being that you are going with Ross's products, it doesnt sound like you have talked to him about your fitment needs..... He is the first that needs to know and the most likely to have answer, right? I am doing the same conversion, but with 40mm offset wheels, NITB that I found, very similar to 94 rx7 oem rims, but cleaner looking, and cheap! = ) I'm looking at under $900, with Bridgestone Re750's, mounted, balanced, and shipped. (16x7 5x114.3 40mm, with 225/45) tannji
Guest Thurem
Well if Tannji is getting the same wheels in a 40mm offset the two of you can just swap one set of two wheels and you will both have 20mm offset wheels for the rear and 40mm for the front. Piece of pie, man. Thure
