80LS1T
I GOT MY ENGINE RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who's da man?!!! LOL I am like the happiest guy alive right now! After 6 months of busting my nuts I finally have a running car! I still need the exhaust & a drive-shaft to get it to move but that's it! Then its time to paint the rest of it. I know a lot of you want to see my car fully painted (BRAD D)! Just wanted to say that all of you guys have been really really helpful, expecially Greimann, Tim240Z, and Mudge! I don't think I could have figured out the wiring parts of the 280ZX to Chevy with out the help of you Greimann and the LT1 stuff goes to Tim240Z and Mudge! You three guys rock (not that the rest of the members weren't helpful, but they helped the most )!! Well here's the video....... http://www.datsun-280zx-lt1.com/Big_Pictures/OH_BABY.mov Guy

Guest sb400z
Very nice. Sounded too loud for the camera's speaker. Guess that's what happens with no exhaust though Anyways, good luck with the rest of your project. That color looks like its going to be sweet. Tim240z
my system couldn't play the video, but kudos man. I know the feeling!!! When I started my LT1 for the first time, I was like a little school girl. I remember running out to the garage in the middle of dinner, just to fire it again!!!! Can't wait until the motor it back in for the last time!!! Congrats man, you've been working hard and it's paying off Tim

Racin_Jason
Mucho Kudos! The video made me smile! Cant wait to get mine to that point. I was listening to Tool with the video running and I thought of this video I should make, lol. Ok, song name is Schizm. Its the song that has the chorus of " I know the pieces fit!!" over and over again. While the chorus is playing I'll be looking at all the parts all over the floor with a determined look on my face. I know the pieces fit!! Then when it breaks into the next bar it shows me thrashing on it..gettin it done. Then at the end of the song theres a heavier part with drums. That would be left for when Im about to start the car and as soon as the song ends...the engine fires. I saw it in my head and it could be very funny! 80LS1T
Yeah I know sorry about the video not working for some of you guys. I tried to switch it over to MPEG but I didn't have anything to do that If you have QUICK TIME it will work. Yeah I about crapped my pants when it started! Ya gotta love no exhaust on a Chevy V8! Yeah I coudn't sleep last night and I had to keep coming on the computer to play the video! Just need to finish the rest of the wiring this weekend so that I can get an exhaust system next week and get my driveshaft made! 80LS1T
Oh don't worry I have documented most of it. I just haven't gotten around to putting it on my site yet. I have just been too busy with the car to do it! I have a lot more pictures that aren't on the site yet but are going to be. Guy
Guest tom sixbey
Great! - i'll be sure to stay tuned to your site for updates. It'll probably be a year before i get around to the actual motor swap though because i've got other preparations to make to the car before i can go through with it, but i'm really intrested in your swap because i'm shooting on using an LT1/t56 as well... thanks for the posts!
