Coil over conversion Question

Recommended Posts

I'm guessing that IF you bore the threaded sleeves, they would be too thin to use safely. I would first find out the ID of the threaded sleeves and see if by chance they will fit you 280. I have a 240, with coil-overs, and the threaded tube ID is a bit larger than the strut tube OD (I had to weld small "nubs" at the upper and lower part of the strut tube to ensure the threaded tube fit snuggly around the strut tube. When I received these tubes, I assumed, from a standardization point of view, that "one size fits all" approach was used in making these tubes from the manufacturer.

Well what I have is the ground control coil overs for the fronts that are for the 240's its showing a different part for the 260-280 models. If anyone knows where to get some cheap strut tubes let me know no datsuns sitting around in ohio especially of the 240 variety thanks guys
