wigenOut-S30
On my 280zx I had eibach springs with tokico Blues.. I liked that setup. Now for the S30.. What is the best for the buck? I use the car as a daily driver. I also will be doing some autoX.. and drags.. So what do you guys think I should go with? I dont want a super stiff ride but do want the Z to handle. Thanks guys!! SleeperZ
I like the Eibach progressive set, with the tokiko struts (I don't have the Illumina, those would be ideal I think). But I do all what you intend to do - street driving (in Denver, no less, the streets are crap), road racing a couple times a summer, and drag racing too. Last year I managed a 1.9 60' with drag radials, and with some practice I think I can get it a bit lower.
Guest zline
I like the AZC Coilovers, although theyre a bit more expensive than your typical setup, they allow ride hide adjustability, and best of all you dont need to section with them!! Plus they come with camber plates so thats a huge bonus.
Guest BigWhyteDude
how hard is it to modify a 280Z to use coil-overs?? kinda interested
Guest zline
Easy, you just ream the sleeves out to match the 280Z strut OR you can swap in early 260Z or 240Z struts and not have to do ANY machine work.
BRAD D
You just cut off your old pearch and weld on the ring that comes with the kit. Not too hard, I sand blasted and POR15ed my strut tubes too. I run Ground Controll coilovers and I like them.
