Guest DaneL24
Mr. Obvious says that porting will raise the powerband of the engine, but is there any benefit at all to porting the intake without also working on the exhaust? My intuitions say no, because an engine is an air pump that needs to get air both in and out...but I have heard of people getting great results from intake porting. So what do you guys think? Am I wrong or am I right? Any experiences? Remember, this would be on an L28ET motor.
Mike C
IME, porting the intake on a turbo motor is a waste compared to the exhaust. You can always up the boost to help overcome intake flow, but exhaust is a different story.
yo2001
I agree, 3 inch DP, 60mm TB, and ported intake goes all together. I dynoed my car with all that stuff plus intercooler and dynoed 208RWHP on 8 psi on stock turbo. (with a blown head gasket)
Lockjaw
If you can get it in the engine, the engine will get it out for you.
