280Zen
Now thats COOL I'll bet he makes a ton of money betting on that car.
Phantom
Watch out for the Dodge Spirit R/T's. They came factory with a 224 HP turbocharged 4-banger. A bit more boost and they get really serious. THose cars are also built like tin cans so they are pretty light.
PETEW
I've seen videos of that K car before. It is hilareous listening to the crowd just going crazy when it launches of the line. That's what I want my car to do. 8)
spork
you saying the spirit r/t's are built like tin cans, or the k-cars? my best friend has a spirit r/t...ran a 13.9 bone stock. He's just about got it running again, this time with upgrades. fresh motor, hybrid turbo pushing 23psi, spearco intercooler...and all the goodies to go along with that stuff. Were hoping for mid to low 12's. Only problem is...those cars are heavy...3100 pounds dry weight! My 83 zxt weighs around 2800. don't see how you could consider that light. Phantom
Supra weighs 3500 lbs, Firebird T/A weighs 3600 lbs, New Mustang Cobra weighs 3780 lbs. 3100 lbs in a sedan sounds pretty light to me.
spork
I guess it all depends on your definition of light. Anything in the 3000 range up is getting heavy. To me light is my buddies civic hatch that weighs 2010. But regardless, those spirits can kick some serous ass!

RPMS
Somewhere there was a website detailing what the guy did to make the car that fast. I think he just cranked up the boost to turbodiesel levels, or something. Anyone know where that website is? Anyone?
Cody 82 ZXT
I believe it's Gus Mahon's site. He passed away last year but, his site has been kept up. He has a ton of good turbo info on there. Most of it is begginer type info but,it's intreasting and helpful. I'll see if I can find it again.

slownrusty
Wow - amazing! Perfect launch and the car is straight like an arrow going down the 1320. Simply impressive. I was not aware the R/T cars had 224hp - cripes! Yasin
spork
check this out http://www.thedodgegarage.com/video/reliant_connecting_rod_bbq.mpg my understanding was this car was on its way to make even more power than the 444 horse last registered on the dyno before the blow.
