David K
how many teeth are in the input shaft from a tranny mated to a L series engine and whats the length of the input shaft? (ie, how far does it go into the engine, etc.)
Mike C
Do you mean spline count? Teeth are inside the tranny on the other end of the input and it will vary depending on the gear ratio of the trans you are talking about.
David K
I mean the spline count, yes. I need to know the spline count on the input shaft that slides through the pressure plate.
gramercyjam
Spline count is 24. If you are looking at clutch disks it should take a 1" X 24 spline. From what I recall when putting a nissan roller pilot bearing in, the pilot bearing in the crank is about .5" long and the input shaft doesn't go in much further than that. --John '73 FP 240Z
