Drax240z
I am using the EM-6E system, on a mostly stock L28 turbo. The departures from stock right now are a slightly bumped up compression ratio (7.5:1), a 60mm TB, and an NPR intercooler with associated piping. hp: Couldn't tell you, though I drove the car for the first time yesterday. Scottie-GNZ
RB, L6, V-6, makes no difference to an SDS. 6 injs and 6 spark plug leads. The key is in the programming for the specific engine.
Guest dustyz
Yeah but is there any little snag in installing the sds, m6f and coil packs in to a datsun. The only person i know that has the coil packs on an l6 in the guy tht also has 2 turbos so he can do most things that would snag the hell out of me
Doug71zt
I've been running an Em3-6F with coilpacks for 3 years now on my L28et - no problems and I'm very happy with the system. The is another guy in my local club running the same system that hangs here - his name is Nigel. Cheers - Doug
Clifton
It is no more work to run the E/MSD system or coil packs. You have to fab a crank sensor bracket for both systems and mount magnets to the pulley wich isn't hard. I guess you have to run different plug ends on the coill packs, no biggy though. Guest dustyz
I am just saying that he could do most things i could not,he made his own turbo headers, so he can weld like a mo fo and do all sorts of crazy things that i would not be able to do
Guest dustyz
is that your car? Are was that your car before you went gn power.
Guest dustyz
hey doug what did you do with your dizzy the racetech guy said it was driving my oil pump is that true
Doug71zt
I threw away the dizzy, capped off the hole in the front cover and cut off the drive shaft just above the bearing surface above the drive gear. That is where the shaft diameter gets smaller above the drive gear. Then the end of the shaft that used to run the dizzy isn't in there unsupported on the upper end. Check your Haynes manual and get a good idea of how the oil pump/dizzy shaft works in there Happy conversions - Doug

Scottie-GNZ
That was my car before GN power. I am going out on a limb to say I was probably the 1st L28ET to use SDS.
