I thought i'd share - these are some pics of my sr20/z31 concotion. Engine management is sds em4f. Block is bored with forged weisco pistons, o-ringed with copper head gasket. Otherwise stock engine. Manifold is JGS custom log-style, turbo is t3/t04e 60mm. Havent dynoed yet, but my best at the track so far is 13.1@108, also for mph I pulled a 13.5@112. These all with 2.2 or worse 60 foots, pump gas, street tires and 16# of boost.

Guest Want aZ

Definately Nice, and I agree with the color, I really dont know why this engine doesnt get more installs as the Z is a light starting point. and these engines can really be made to crank out some HP. and with the import scene being what it is there is a ton of stuff out there to hop them up

Agreed, very nice install and a good engine. But the reason I would think twice is cost. Z's are blessed with an engine compartment that allows a wide variety of options, most of which would return more HP for less $$.

But not to take away from the car. Beautiful work.

big IC that doesnt leak, lighter seats (driver's seat weighs over 100lbs) and a posi rear end with better gears...maybe you guys can help me out with this. I love nissan for their parts interchangability, and I know almost every rear-drive nissan has the r200 diff, so I want to replace my 3.7:1 open with something like the 4.08:1 lsd from a 240sx, but dont know if the side gears are the same. Are there any other possible options??

Other options for diffs are probably the same as the early Z. 88 300zx SE has the clutch LSD, and later turbo cars have the viscous. I'd check out the viscous swap first as they are more plentiful in the junk yards, and a better setup if you can get them in easily. (the clutch ones happen to install in the early Z much easier, so they are used a lot in the S30's) Check out the drivetrain forum for more info...
