Guest Want aZ
OK All, Ive searched the internet and gone to more bad links than I can count and still have come up empty...I am looking for somewhere in the US to buy an RB25 COMPLETE, but alas I dont think it exists. Ive got a friend of mine that is a Marine and will be going to Okinawa in another 1.5yrs, but I would hate for him to have to buy one there and send it back here piece by piece, that would be TOO MUCH DAMN $$$$. Any help in tis area would be great and very much appreciated. Thanks, Damon
Bob_H
Damon, Two things. Where are you located, and how much do you have budgeted for the motor,(and the total swap)? I know someone who can get you a RB25 and may have some in stock. I would expect him to be on the slightly higher side of prices, but he only stocks low mileage complete motors and trannys. Both Brad and I got our RB26's from him. -Bob Edit, I see you are in Missouri,(I assume I have Mo correct?). The guy I am refering to is in Nevada and teaches in Japan. stony
your friend would be the best bet.... you can ship a one meter square box full of lead for about 1100 anywhere in the world. and the rb25 out of okinawa will cost around 2500 with a tranny complete. so if you actually find someone to get the motor from you can save about 1000+ by doing it yourself
Guest Want aZ
Stony & Bob- Thanks, but i guess I will wait. As far as budget goes havent really thought of it, as it will be a several year project, and as I do it in stages Im not really worried about the money. And yes I am currently in Missouri. Getting ready to retire form the military in another 8 months. First have to find a JOB, Then HOUSE, then car, as I figure it timewise it will be about right, with him going back to Okinawa. Didnt know you could get stuff shipped like that. Guess I need to do some more investigating. Actually I was planning on getting the Engine/Trans first then get the car. Hopefully a driver, Do suspension and body first, then conversion to the RB25. Have been paying attention to the site over the last 2 yrs, and do have the JTR book, and have read it through at least 25 times so far. Any help with the 25 conversion from your experience would be greatly appreciated... Damon
