stony
yes this is the inner side .... im kinda curious if the crack in the metal is normal or not for this type of breakage????
BRAD D
I would try another, It could be a flaw in the part Who knows It dose look smooth in one spot like it did not shear there any rust on it, from old damage in the crack?
Drax240z
Well I'm not an expert but I'd say its pretty normal.. a crack propigates under load and then catastrophic failure occurs. Its pretty common for a crack to occur and then take time to propigate until failure. I'm sure some of the aircraft engineers on the board can fill us in on crack propigation and failure due to fatigue.
Tim240z
Sorry to post a reply and not answer your questions, but would it help to get a brand new set, and have them magnafluxed to check for cracks, then have them Cryo-treated. Heck, you live in Alaska, just leave them outside overnight Tim
stony
that is an option. im going ot replace the one that broke and try one more time but with a very light launch.. with the new rear i should be able to get it off the line well.
