anyone ever run a Ford 2.3T in a Z car? i'm debating putting one in my 240sx. they're cheap, good parts availability, great potential. A guy that lives probably 1hr from me builds them 400hp+. He has one in a pinto that runs 10's. so, what do you guys think about it?

from what i was told the motor is kinda heavy. i have a 2.3 N/A in my ranger hehe. sooooooooo slow.. and was thinking of swaping in a turbo motor because its pretty cheap and alot quicker but i heard it was pretty heavy.. i could very well be wrong..

but it would be different and cool.

I was gonna swap an 87 2.3t into my 71 but changed my ming it's now going into an 87 starlet, they are great and dependable motors, they weigh if I recall right about 325lbs, not a tank but no lightweight either, in the 71 there was a clearance issue with the steering column, I coul have added an extra u-joint to the steering arm but just didn't care for the idea, not sure if you'd have similar issues on the sx or not, check out turboford.org, tons of info on these lil motors there
