Guest 240hybrid
Octobers month of Turbo and high tech. magazine features a supercharged 350Z. The supercharger is manufactured by stillen, and they offer a bolt on hood scoop or a new composite hood. They are running only 5.7 lbs of boost and creating 312 WHP, with 318 ft. torque. The dyno sheet they posted list the max torque at 289 ft.lb. on the best run, so I guess that the 318 ft.lb. torque they listed must be at the crank?? Isn't the stock Hp about 285 or so on a 350Z?? So is it worth the MSRP of $3,795. for the supercharger kit when you only get about a 30HP increase at this point. I don't think I would buy that kit, until Stillen offers a intercooler with it so that you can crank up the boost and make a larger more money wise, power increase. Then again, how long would the stock internals hold up and how much boost could you run? Anyways, just thought that I'd post that they developed a kit for the 350Z, I still like the idea of twin turbos in a 350Z.
Guest ON3GO
well top secret's twin turbo kit is making the most power out of the all the twin turbo kits like GReddys and HKS's. I heard Blitz is making a kit but im not sure.
fl327
What do stock 350z put out to the wheels? That would determine how worthwhile it would be, seeing as that 285hp rating is still getting its butt handed to em by ME YUP Thats right 8) Yee-HAW And then he said And then I go After that Oh yeah
Guest ON3GO
ahahah. about 260rwhp.. give or take a few..
Guest bastaad525
Sport Compact Car magazine dynoed a new 350z at about 245 at the wheels. Figure average of 15% driveline losses. Figure 285 - 15% = 242, so that's about right. 260 at the wheels would be closer to 300 crank hp.
Mikelly
Soooo, That sounds like about a 75HP gain, which is NOT bad at all! I read the article last night... The car is growing on me, but I still can't justify it... Mike
Guest 240hybrid
Yeah 70 or so more hp is a considerable jump and would be very noticable. Anyone know what kind of power the twin turbos setups are making??
BRAD D
If you want big power in the 350Z you will have to swap out the pistons, with a forced induction kit
fl327
Maybe they will get smarter next year and actually put out the secret twin turbo version, and make me bolt up the t04e so i can : "Do it to them one more time Once is never enough For the FAIR-LADY" (327) Those cars look nice though, and have those crazy wheel and brake setups going for them, and some nice styling. I can see them great in my rear view
