Guest kurt8394
What are some good full cat systems out there for a 260z
SleeperZ
260s never had cats. What engine are you running? If you have a stock engine, look at MSA or VB for a kit, otherwise you pretty much have to make your own exhaust. No kits here.
Guest kurt8394
well i have a cat on mine but i was gonna order a Monza from VB for 200 but i dunno is there anything else out there worth looking at
SleeperZ
Just checking...are you sure you have a cat on it, or are you referring to the resonator? Nissan did not put a converter on the Zs until the fuel injected 280s came out, and then only on California cars. They also installed a floor temperature warning light! If you installed it, I'm curious as to why.
Guest kurt8394
your right it is a resonator not a cat.....so what type of exhaust should i be looking to get into?
Nismo280zEd
or you could just go down to your local performance shop and get a custom cat back system with exhaust for 200 bucks
snork
is that warning light there to let you know the cat is bad? always wondered about it?
patzky1
Snork, the floor temp light just lets you know if your cat is getting the car body around it too hot. The cat is a large heat sink for the exhaust (a big hunk of metal to get hot) and can become very hot. For example, that's why you should never park a hot FI car over dry grass.
