GTR cams run really retarded so they meet pollution standards in Japan ……….. you will find with adjusting the cams everything will start happening sooner and the power will hang in longer, usually hangs in up to 8200 - 8500 rpm before it start dropping off.

 

This GTR here gained with exhaust, cam gears and 6psi more …….. about 80 hp at the wheels.

With only exhaust, pods, cam gears it run 11.57 @ 117.89 on 17 psi …….

If you need to know anything about 25/30 just email Ben from RACEPACE MOTORSPORT…….. whom fitted 25/30s to heaps of GTRs and he has also tuned a 240z with RB26.

I'm looking in to some HKS GT2530's. The most RWHP I want to see is 500, and I think that would get me there. I have 550cc injectors so if I turn up the fuel psi, I should be good...

 

That should get me in to the 10's

 

Brad if i searched hard enough i bet i could find the thread where i made the same post about getting into the 10's about 2 years ago :x

 

i honestly think low 11 sec is the best we are going to do with the setup we are running....without breaking something. put a nice twin turbo setup on , turn up the booste launch it easy and make it up on the big end is the other option. I just want to get into the tens with a unmodded motor and to do that its gonna take a hi rpm launch combined with good traction and no breakage. I think with the Ford 8.8 with 35 spline axles, a spool and 4.88 gearing will get me well into the 10's

 

BTW i didnt realize how much track distance a half a second was till i got beat heads up by a 10 sec car. he ran a 10.95 @ 122MPH i ran a 11.5 @ 124 mph and he was a good 10 car lengths ahead of me :shock: he pulled those 10 car lengths by half track i started to real him in but there wasnt enough track :x
