Guest matt24680Z
Thius gives you an idea about how pissed I am about the Z I bought. It is a '71 240 that is supposed to have an engin that will turn over. But it is totaly seized. All I want to know is how to fix it.
JMortensen
I think a little more info is necessary. What engine? What do you mean seized? Do you mean the starter won't turn it, or you can't turn it with a breaker bar on the crank pulley bolt? Have you taken the valve cover off? Any broken valves or springs? Guest rick458
A good place to start is to take the plugs out and put 2-3 ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil in the cylinders through the plug holes and let them soak overnight then try and bump it in the morning (dont have a nice car in the garage when you bump it). Guest matt24680Z
the engin is the 2.4L straight 6. it is seized to the point that i was not able to turn it over with a breaker on the crank pulley .I have taken most of the motor appart and I have pulled it from the car. There are no broken engin parts. Some of the cylenders were filled completly with corosin or som sort of poder that was not supposaed to be there. JMortensen
Sounds like it's time to get a 2.8 bottom end and slap that E88(?) head on it. Jon
