Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
The float could be not functioning correctly, or the shutoff valve could be stuck open. Rebuild them. Costs about $30 for the pair, and can be done in a few hours if you plan it right. Heck, after doing mine, I think they can even be rebuilt while still mounted in the car! Guest 72datsun240z
one thing i forgot to mention is that the back of the car was jacked up when that happend i let it down today and since i had to adjust the valves i ran it to see if it runs any better but crap it runs worse!!!! If it is just idling its the same but when if i rev it to 2000 rpm and than punch it it wants to day the whole engine shakes than it picks up and go high withthe rpms . It didn't ever do that before and i didn't mess with the adjustments on the carbs . Oh but one good news it didn't leak out any gasoline after i turned it off.. please help i am at the point where i am so desperate that i wanna sell it again

Order two rebuild kits from http://www.partsamerica.com for $14.99/per. I just ordered some and they should be here on tuesday. Miles
Buy the rebuild kit from Ztherapy as it has an improved needle valve assembly to prevent overfilling the float chamber which may flood the carb. The stock and cheap rebuild valves can cause flooding and a fire. I also recommend buying the Ztherapy SU video. Miles
Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
The valves in the kits I got were new. There really is no reason to pay 4 times as much for Ztherapy's rebuild kits..
JMortensen
I think the Z Therapy kit uses a ball type valve instead of a needle and seat. Jon
Miles
Jon You are correct. Ztherapy uses the ball type of valve. I just installed a new set of Ztherapy SUs on my 72 240z and it runs like a new car. Miles
