A different kind of chassis swap..

Ok so some people emailed me and asked me if I had any updates

on my 240Z TT Conversion so I figured I'd post a few photos of what's going on

now..

Well, Since I'm going to be using a widebody kit on the car I

have been going back and forth between a full cage and tube chassis or just

modifying what& I currently had on the 240Z chassis. But most of that I was

waiting till I had the exact dimensions needed from the front fenders.. Well not

that I have the measurements you can see what I'm planning on doing. Using a

complete front frame section and suspension from the Z32(300) Pretty cool how it

fits the exact width requirements I needed for the front fenders..

Some of the cool things is I plan to use as much 300ZX parts as

possible on building up the 240Z, Floor Pan, Center Console, Gas tank door and

several other items.

I'm shooting to have it all completed before the Convention this year. And I will be doing some articles on the whole process for

sportz magazine..

Just thought I'd share with you guys..

Well Kyle,

thats definitely being adventurous, what I've leant from my 280ZX convertible project is not to rush it because it just increases the work and expense. Nothing worse than doing things twice.

If your looking for Z32 chassis dimensions you will find them at

http://300zx-twinturbo.com/ in the body section of their online manual

BF-42

All the best Neil.
