Guest szlash280z
I want to paint my intercooler, it needs some touch up and all that. is there any kind of special paint I should use? does anyone know of any paint that will actually aid in radiating the heat? yo2001
there are thermal efficiency paints that can help the heat transfer. other than that, I wouldn't paint it.
JMortensen
Radiator paint would work. It doesn't clump together and fill in the fins. I'd check with a radiator shop. Jon
Guest szlash280z
it's a volvo intercooler so it was painted to begin with. but it's kinda old and the plastic tanks are showing the yellowish plastic where the black paint rubbed off a bit. and the fins are more of a dark grey color when they should at least be black. I will look into radiator paint.
ZR8ED
I have the same volvo i/c. Mine looked kinda crappy to, so I just grabbed someflat black aerosol metal paint and gave it a light dusting.. Looks great.. I have not noticed and cooling issues.. The i/c seems to work VERY well.
Moridin
I just painted my Honda intercooler flat black. I'll let you know if I have any cooling problems. Can't see it anymore though
