LS1 Exhaust Manifolds

I have a LS1 with cast iron camaro exhaust manifolds, what did the tubular ones come on? I can not seem to find any.

I'm not positive Cyrus but I think they only came on the 'vette. Go back to your monumental LS-1 posting. Maichor talked about some exhaust manifolds that he got from Performance Products. I've seen them - mandrel bent stainless steel - looked pretty nice. You might jump on www.hotrodlane.cc and look at what they have.

Here's a photo of my rig sitting in a corner. Note the tubular exhaust manifold. This is out of a stock '99 Z28.

The 99 FBody also has the sheet metal manifolds.

 

For LS1 engine parts, try valvegod@aol.com. He's famous on the LS1 boards, has almost any part and is very reliable. I have bought some sensors, a water pump, coil, lots of various things from him.

Interesting, my '98 Camero Z-28 donor has an LS-1 with cast iron exhaust manifold. Sounds like some conflicting information.

Okay, I can be really stupid sometimes.

 

My LSI is a '99 model, not '98. I've edited my earlier post above to reflect that change. Sorry for the confusion! I would guess the '98s had the cast iron manifold and they changed to the tubular sheet metal in '99.
