johnc
Directions to my shop from WSIR (Lancaster): 14 south to 5 south 5 south to 91 east 91 east to Harbor Blvd. north (left) Harbor Blvd. north to Lambert Rd. east (right) Lambert Rd. east to Palm St. (north) Palm St. north to the 3rd driveway (left) Building 637 unit G - last building on your left. Probably a 1.5 hour drive on a Saturday morning. If you're planning on making the drive during the week, I'll need to give you different directions to avoid some serious traffic. And are you assuming I'm writing some kind of article or is someone else from HybridZ doing it?
SportZ2
I'm sorry, I forgot to put Tim's name in the post. He is doing a how-to on a fuel cell install. John, if you have any ideas for an article, tech or how-to, we are always looking. Tech and How-to's are always in high demand.
Zoldman
March 6 looks good to me. I'm in Riverside, so not too far. My car is an early '74 260 with a 305 TPI and 700R4. It's not in super shape, but runs......... I'll bring some eats/drinks if needed. Let me know. Bill Boyd
johnc
Erik goofed and has to support three of his customers at a NASA event at Cal Speedway on Saturday 3/6. He says he'll still make our event and talk, but he needs to see the NASA schedule to find a 3 hour window. Event starting time will probably be moved up to around noon, depending on the NASA event shcedule. I'll let you guys know as soon as I find out. Tim240z
John, you're killing me man!! I rescheduled my kid's birthday party (after much :malebitchslap: from the wife!) around this event Tim
johnc
Sorry, but that's how it is dealing with Erik. He does great work and knows his stuff but he's about as organized as crap thrown into a fan.
Tim240z
John, Are you going to have the gathering anyway, or is it contingent on Erik's availability?
johnc
I'll have it come hell, highwater, or violent illness. If anything, I can talk about Z handling or talk to you guys about welding. I did a welding talk to a POC group a while ago and they were pretty happy with it.
SportZ2
I second the notion on welding.

pparaska
I third it - I hope I can fly out and make it. I'd love to see someone TIG and talk about how to do it.
Organdonor
Welding talk sounds great. I purchased a new mig wire feed last week to help redo my new '71 240. I can use all the pointers I can get, count me in. Do I need to bring any refreshments?
Zoldman
Welding would be great, but I for one have some (real basic) questions about suspension. My 260 is a wreck underneath, so if anyone wants to talk to me about where to start when we get together, I'll be all ears. Thanks Bill
RB26240Z
Count me in. John let me know what I can bring, or help out in any way.
Tim240z
John, What time dude.....14h00 or 12h00? Or haven't you made up your mind yet? Any chance of convincing Erik to lug his C.W. setup along?
johnc
I'll let you know tomorrow and there's zero chance of him doing any corner weighting unless there's hundreds of dollars involved.
Moridin
So is it set for the 6th? I'll see if I can get that day off. Hopefully I didn't blow the seals out on my turbo Honda, so I have something to drive down. Need to bring any food or anything?
johnc
Saturday March 6th at 2:00pm PST. If Erik can make it sometime and talk about Z suspensions, great. I'll spend some time talking about welding and do some demostrations. You'll get a chance to try some MIG and TIG welding too if you want. If you have a welding helmet bring it. I probably don't have enough eye protection for everyone. I'll supply the pizza, you guys will need to bring the drinks (soda, beer, etc.) The shop address is: 637 S. Palm St. Unit G La Habra, CA 90631 (562) 691-4412 http://www.betamotorsports.com
Tim240z
Cool!!! See you then!! I'll bring a couple of welding masks! I'll have to eat before I leave.....pizza is not diet friendly......I'll bring a bunch of beer (have stock and don't drink beer anymore!) Hybrid240z
Count me in too. Welding is a perfect topic at this early stage of my swap. Marcos
