THUNDERZ
What would be the best Hi Po coil to put into a 260z with a 1980 L28 with 40mm tripple carbs and engine mods? It has the zx distributor on it still. I just disconnected the ballast resistor.
Brad-ManQ45
If you're talking straight coil, I've had good luck with the Jacob's coil...

THUNDERZ
Where is the best place to buy a coil for my application? I dont need a rev limiter do I?
Brad-ManQ45
Actually, the stock coil from a 300ZXT is supposed to be great...and cheap at the JY...
Guest ZmeFly
Bradman, the Z31 ZXT coil is much better then most aftermarket coils. It is one of my planned upgrades.
materchan
hmm intresting, so just from any z31 turbo?
fl327
any z31 coil, i think they are the same coil. I have a bunch of them, they look identical to the ka24 engined cars as well, and the later vg30 maximas with quad cam. I like it, im gonna hook a 6al to one and let the sparks fly. easy to wire up, wiring half matches 280zx, one is blue that goes to same place, the other one is different color splice it in it will crank. I like the "import" look of the thing too
