Tim240z
I just received my quote in the mail from J.C. Taylor, Modified Automobile Insurance Company, 320 South 69th Street, Upper Darby, PA (877)468-7637. For $20,000 in coverage, with a $250 deductible, it will be $408 per year (est). I got this quote in the mail today just to see how it compares with my agent's quote. All you do is phone them, go through the phone mail questionaire, and you get a quote in the mail. This company, which is owned by the same parent company as Farmers Ins. was highly recommended by my agent, who has also my Wife's parent's agent for decades...... I am staying with my Agent (Farmers) just because he is local and ALL my other policies are with him. Just FYI, guys.... Tim
Guest bastaad525
that's good right? I mean, is that relatively cheap? I really want to take out some higher insurance on my Z as well... as bad of luck that I've had with this car I just always have this nagging feeling that it's just a matter of days before someone rear ends me or T bones me and totals the car.... Guest bastaad525
ROFL I really have no idea what is a reasonable price or not for what level of coverage. Me and my wife just have the lowest level of coverage and we are on one policy, I dont even know off hand how much we pay (she takes care of that ) I know it certainly SOUNDS cheap. Mike kZ
Doesnt haggerty have limitations like how many miles, cant be primary use vehicle, etc? They don't have a max milage, but I don't think they would like 15 - 20k miles a year. Yes you do need a primary vehicle insured with another company. Phantom
I have full coverage just like my other cars through USAA. It runs about $400/year and all they ask is that I keep the receipts and have plenty of photos of the car in case of loss. I had one stolen in '89 and they reimbursed me for $800 less than my total investment ($100 less than original purchase price) and I had been driving the car 3 years. Mike C
Hagerty wouldn't even talk to me. They said vehicle had to be COMPLETELY stock and showroom condition.

That doesn't make sence, does mine look stock to you? They do modified cars.
SpeedRacer
I use Hagerty as well and they charge me $357 per year. For $25,000 coverage and no deductible (replacement cost - no depreciation). No mileage limitations but, like Mike, I have to have a licensed and insured daily driver. When I am not driving it, the car has to be kept locked up at my primary residence unless they approve another storage facility. http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=2514 As you can see it is slightly modified! Almost everybody in our Kit Car Club http://www.usol.com/~hutch/ uses them. They have been very good at paying claims as well.
