slownrusty Posted July 23, 2004 Share Posted July 23, 2004 HA got the biatch out.... Total removal time - approx. 6-7hours! Probably the most curse filled job I have done on my ZXT in the four years of ownership. Hope the new gasket lasts another 22years. Here you can see how I bent the corner in trying to get it out, man was it welded to the block in spots! Okay next....sand blast it, clean it, straighten out the bent corner, weld a bung for my new Autometer Oil Temp gauge and paint it. Thanks for all who had great suggestions for the removal. john kosmatka Posted July 23, 2004 Share Posted July 23, 2004 It is alot easier to remove the pan when the motor is on an engine stand, and even then it seems to be bonded to the block, had to pry it of evenly going around the motor.
