Cody 82 ZXT
I bought a new CV Axle off Ebay the other day. After I got it and went to install it I see that it is different than what I already have in the car. The splines are much smaller than the one I pulled out. Here the link as an FYI http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7922478050&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOAB:US:6 Part #39600-P9705 How can I verify the part #? I called Courtesy and they won't give me the #. Not sure why they want to protect the part #. Thanks [/url]
zcarnut
You got the CV axle for the the R180 diff (you can tell from the application listed in the eBay link). It sounds like you have the R200 diff. The spline shaft has a different diameter.
Warren
According to my local Nissan Dealer, who I have a GREAT working relationship with, it goes to a 6-83 and later 280ZX NON Turbo 2+2 with an Automatic Transmission. By the way, that number replaces or supercedes part #39600-P9700.. Hope it helps. Warren
Cody 82 ZXT
Well I got hold of the guy I bought it from and he said he would let me return the part minus a 15% restocking fee. I would really like to find a way to use this my self or pass it along to another Z guy that could use it. Any ideas?
